Dear Father, I hate this. I feel so stupid. Once again I’m on the hunt. I wish that I could call all lost items like I can my cell phone! That warranty and flash drive must be here somewhere.

This is my third trip through the house. I’ve raced from room to room until I’m almost dizzy. Ripping through drawers and rifling through piles of paper tighten my neck and shoulders.

This time I’ll slowly sift through the stacks and in this drawer. Arggh! The warranty’s not here. Not here. How about here? Am I crazy?

Why can’t I focus when I straighten the house? Pay attention to where I put things? Too much whirs in my mind—like a blender. Everything gets all mushed together.

Oh no! Look at the time. I’ve got to go. How can I work when I’m almost worn out? Stop, girl. Take a deep breath.

Okay, Abba, I’m back. The monologue is over. I need Your help. You know where those things are. I trust You to point me in the right direction this evening. We’ve got a history of Your helping me find things, even contact lenses. Meanwhile, I’ll play praise music while I drive to work. When I focus on You, these earthly annoyances will fade away.

Thank You for loving me.
